Very nice copy of the original 1956 pressing of the all-time classic recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations played on the piano by Glenn Gould, on Columbia ML-5060. The album that made Gould a huge sensation and which ushered in the Baroque revival. Truly one of THE great classical albums ever made. And this is a truly lovely copy. The disc is beautifully clean with only a few very very slight sleeve scuffs. It plays near flawlessly and just beautifully, with a minute or so of like crackle around the center of side two. Aside from that I don’t hear any issues. Maybe a stray tiny tick once or twice but really an incredibly clean copy that plays mostly perfectly. Absolutely lovely. The cover is nice and shiny and strongly intact. The top seam is just starting to split about 1.5”. The bottom as well about 1”. Really minor. The rest of the cover is just beautiful. Only slight edgewear but barely. Just a beautiful cover. The cardboard inner sleeve is also included. This is truly a top original copy, hard to beat.
