COLIN OFFORD - Empty Vessels (EMI Custom Records YPRX-1881, Australia 1981)
This is a very special sounding record and not easy to describe - it was recorded on the New South Wales South Coast on July 1981 from Colin Offord and released the same year in a tiny numbered pressing of 500 copies only.... Each copy came in a different hand painted front cover, and each copy of the 500 releases is numbered and signed from the artist himself, this copy is 308 / 500.......(see scan on the bottom right side of the back cover) Musically he created a unique atmospheric avant folk work in a deep ancient natural mood sounding direction - with voices, homemade flutes, tin whistle, ocarina, some homemade percussions, bean pod, concert flute, ocean environment, chinese flute, long horns New Guinea ratlles...... An excellent album for the connoiseur of more dangerous sounds...... Very hard to find and.....of course an original pressing.....
The record is in top excellent minus (ex-) condition, showing only some thin, harmless hairlines, a few paper scuffs - plays great, only on a few parts maybe some very soft surface cracklings in the background
The cover is in very good (vg) condition, the mostly white / light grey cover showing some dirty parts / brownish stains (see scan) - has a writing on the center of the front cover (see scan) - NO serious defects..

IMPORTANT: Please don´t bid on vg or g records and then you´re disappointed if you don´t become a m- or ex LP......sorry, this is NOT possible. Also you´re bidding on vinyl records and NOT for CDs......that means, that also new vinyl records can make static or tiny surface cracklings here and there. Also some of the old recordings, especially the obscure privat pressings have NOT a HiFi demonstration recording sound....
