Description
This is a rare 33 rpm LP record by “Johnny Chester and The Thunderbirds (with The Chessmen)”, early rock ‘n’ roll musicians based in Melbourne, Australia. The Thunderbirds were formed in 1957 and backed Roy Orbison, Jack Scott, Ray Peterson, Dion and Johnny Chester on their package Australian tour. They became Johnny Chester’s backing band during the early 60s, while maintaining their own career. This 33 rpm record is a Canadian pressing on the “Kim” label. I assume that Kim bought the rights to the Canadian release, probably in 1962. This record comes in its original plastic wrap and plastic inner sleeve. It came from the estate of the label owner, so probably was never played - it is in mint condition.
This record is extremely hard to find in any state, and this is in unplayed condition. Great addition to an Australian rock ‘n’ roll collection or a Canadian record label collection! Please check my other auction for a Johnny Chester 45 "Shakin' All Over", also on the Kim label.
Shipping
Canadian buyers, please note that although we offer shipping through Champlain, NY for our American customers, we are a registered business located in Canada and must therefore charge applicable GST/HST/PST to Canadian buyers - please read further to understand our shipping methodology and note all costs so that there is no misunderstanding when rating shipping costs post-sale.
Please note that shipping is free on fixed price store items within Canada and the 48 contiguous US States. In the case of an accepted offer, shipping costs will be either charged in full or negotiated with the buyer.
I ship to my US clients through USPS services as long as the value of the item does not exceed $200. For items that sell for over $200.00, I must ship to my U.S. clients using Canada Post. This is due to restrictions outlined in the North American Free Trade Agreement, chapter 3.21. I am located in Canada but I have a carrier service to bring my parcels directly across the border on either Tuesday or Wednesday to be shipped out of the USPS postal outlet in Champlain, N.Y.
To my International clients I can ship by either Canada Post or by USPS (in order to use USPS for intl. clients, the items must sell for under $200.00).
Please feel free to write with any inquiries in regards to cost of shipping to you.
Terms of Sale
We do not accept returns unless an item has been significantly not as described. We describe very thoroughly, both with photos and text, but in the case that an item has been misrepresented, we will accept a return for full refund, including shipping costs.
International customers, please do not ask us to falsify customs documentation:
"Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding / buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up - do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior."
