Description

Original UK B&C black & green label stereo 1st press LP.
This is the second LP by Atomic Rooster released in September 1970. It produced the hit single Tomorrow Night (UK #11) and the album's cover features the William Blake monotype of 'Nebuchadnezzar'. The band photos were taken at Churchfield Road Cemetery, Acton W3, by former actor-turned photographer, Richard Lyon. This copy has the earliest A-1U B-1U matrices and 1- 1- stampers of the original first issues.
The E. J. Day Group matt sleeve is intact & in VG+ condition, with some corner/edge wear and storage rubbing/discolouration on the outer cover, with a small sticker on the rear corner and some rubbing on the inner cover. The spine is intact, and fully readable, the plain company inner is intact & in VG+ condition.   The record is in visually EX condition, with a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two small needlemarks/scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings on either side, but there is a name in biro on the labels.   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud crackle or hiss and definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief, low background noise during the run in grooves, overall still a really great, loud & clear listen!   The matrix nos. are; CAS-1026, A-1U mother stamper 1-RM, B-1U mother stamper 1-H. This is one of very early copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1970 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
