Atlantic Records History

Original 1985-issue of Atlantic Records’ 14-LP box set overview of the legendary label’s first 38 years.  Used copies occasionally pop up, but this is a rare chance to grab a perfect, Mint condition, still-sealed copy that has been tucked away and boxed since it was first issued.

The box gathers up seven gatefold, double LP sets that were also released individually.  As this was issued just as CDs were replacing vinyl albums in the marketplace, it only remained in print for two years before it was discontinued, limiting its numbers.

This set sports the remnants of a Tower Records price sticker.  When new, this retailed for $90 - $100.  Nice used copies typically command $100-plus, depending on condition.  But this copy is truly as good as it gets.

The boxed set will be packed in a damage-proof carton for shipping and I will include insurance.
