Description
I have up for auction a partial Album Set of 3 records (78s), originally there were 4, I am quite sure. It is on the black and silver ASCH Records label, Album No.A-432 by a wonderful array of great Folk musicians and vocalists. It is entitled "American FOLKSAY-Ballads and Dances". The records include:
1. A-side, Woody Guthrie, Cisco Houston, Pete Seeger with "Mule Skinner Blues" and B-side Woody Guthrie, Cisco Houston, Baldwin Hawes, Bess Lomax with "900 Miles"-Hot Fiddle Instrumental.
2. A-side, Blind Sonny Terry, Alek, Woody Guthrie, Cisco Houston with "Glory" and B-side, Woody Guthrie with "Poor Lazarus".
3. A-side, Josh White, Lead Belly with "Don't Lie Buddy" and B-side, Woody Guthrie with "Biggest Thing"-Nonsense Song.
The records are in excellent condition, hardly any wear and scuffs and scratches are few, light and surface variety. Surfaces still fairly shiny and clean. Cover and inside sleeves in very good condition as well; great front cover with David Stone Martin art. Even has the original 16 page typed paper booklet with musical descriptions. Wish I had the 4th record, but still a great collectible as is!
