Description

This is the original deep-groove pressing of Art Pepper “Modern Art” on the maroon and silver labels of Intro ILP 606. The flat-rim playing surface appears to be in virtually new condition; however, there are soft tics at the end of Track 4 on Side 1 and an audible 1/8” scratch near the end of Track 4 on Side 2. Also, all Intro pressings have inherent surface noise; there were not high-end pressings by any means. The frame cover is bright and clean throughout, with light ring wear on the front; 1” clean split on the bottom seam, at the opening. Personnel include Russ Freeman, Chuck Flores, and Ben Tucker.
