Art Pepper Omega Alpha Blue Note Classic 1st year 1981 release of 1957 Sessions in a quartet setting with Carl Perkins Piano. This is a couple of months after the seminal Meets the Rhythm Section. Both of which I think of as great recordings in the career of Art. Probably my favourite altoist after Parker. His was a really consistent output compared to many others, as this was issued within the same year as his amazing Blues for the Fisherman appearances as Ronnies. These Uk ones of this are from the same year of issue as the US ones, no difference in sound to my ears. They are the result of Blue Note producer Michael Cuscuna spending time in the vaults and unearthing a wonderful selection of unissued recordings from the golden age of Blue note. A low plays near mint first year issue that plays beautifully on my high end system. Our ethos is to offer you best sounding analogue only pressings of vintage records. Here is another beauty of that type. We offer massive postage subsidies to overseas buyers on multiple purchases. i.e £1 extra per lp to a maximum of £15, then no extra charge. We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
