Here for auction: Art Pepper "Meets The Rhythm Section". LAC 12066. EX/EX+.Original 1957 UK "Contemporary".Very thick vinyl pressed by Decca with earliest type of label's. Matrices 2E/2E
As far as I know all the parts of this album are original unless stated otherwise in the description.And all the photos show the item listed here and not some other "stock" photo etc.Just wanted to make that clear.
I have checked parts of both sides of the disc for sound quality on a Thorens TD160 super with SME Mk III arm and B&O MMC II cartridge, Roksan Kandy RA Mark III amp and B & W DM 603 floorstander's. I hope this gives a fair representation of the disc's quality in the description below.
Vinyl is in EX+ condition.A really great disc and remarkable for it's age.Record is very clean,even when viewed in strong light.Just a couple of extremely minor marks on one track when viewed right up close.They run with the groves and not across and do not affect sound at all.Apart from that, the disc is near perfect.There are no kinks or warps and the disc lies flat on turntable.
Sound is beautifully clear and undistorted with no repetetive tics in the parts played.The vinyl play's with beautiful silent surfaces.This record looks and sounds hardly used...Do not miss out on this one.
Cover is in EX condition.It is still looking good.Has some laminate lifting on front opening edges, more on the back than front, light general wear and some rubbing to spine (nothing bad though).Very acceptable.
Label's EX+ Could see only a few light spindle marks and there are no other marks or blemishes at all.Superfine condition.
Original Decca inner sleeve is EX+.
