Description

Blue Note BLP 4029.  The Big Beat.  BLP 4029.  Mono.  47 West 63rd NYC address on the label.  The cover grades VG with the following issues:  There had been a 4" seam split at the top right.  It has been reglued and reinforced from the inside with heavy Kraft paper.  See photos 6 & 7 to view the repair.  There are 2 tears in the back slick.  See photo 3.  A visual grade of the record is VG Minus with surface wear.  See the last 5 photos for surface condition.  A play grade is better ranging between VG+ and VG++.  It plays cleanly with minor surface noise.
When the surface condition of the record needs to be seen I provide at least 1 photo.  I take the photos outside on a bright sunny day.  I angle the record toward the sun for the greatest visibility.  No 1000 watt light bulb is as good as the sun in disclosing flaws.
ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL BUYERS:  The USPS created unnecessary chaos on 1/25/2021.  Europe no longer has consistent pricing, it varies from country to country.  Finland is $3.75 more than Sweden.  Does that make sense?  No, it doesn't.  The UK, France, Germany and a few others have a lower rate.  It's not possible for me to match every country with the correct rate.  I've had to use the highest rate across the board.  If your country ends up being dramatically lower I'll refund the difference.  You can refer to USPS.com to check their rates.
GRADING
Near Mint or Mint Minus:  My top grade.  The record or cover will show the most minimal of wear.  The record will have top gloss.  The cover will be free from any ring wear, splits, or handwriting.
VG++ :  Not quite Near Mint but a super clean, desirable record.
VG+ :  The record or cover will show signs of wear but no significant defects.
VG  :  Obvious signs of wear but the record still has life in it.  VG does not mean beat.
VG Minus  :  The record or cover will show moderate to heavy wear.  For a common record this would not be an acceptable grade.  For an in-demand, rare record it should be considered.
Good  :  Very heavy wear.  This grade would only be acceptable if the record is rare enough that you might not see another copy available for sale or it's a rare record at a low price.
