Front laminated jacket Deep groove label Blue Note Records Inc. - 43 West 61st - NYC address, the (R) for the registration mark below the E in NOTE on the deep grooved labels. - RVG Stereo stamped and "ear" or "P" symbol for into the dead wax. Vinyl is G+ side 1, VG side 2. Sounded fantastic, a few pops heard on side 1. Labels are VG++. Cover is VG, 5" inch split at bottom, some soiling and owners name written on back. Slight 1 inch back cover peeled.
There might be a slight mismatch here, but first pressings none the less. I believe the cover is the very first, as it displays the record labels original address on the back, which was: 43 West 61st Street, New York 23, N.Y. Blue Note, ST-84049. The vinyl is BST 84049, both the cover and vinyl were produced in 1961.
An interesting background note on this album, the original owner was Howard, the surname escapes me, but he recently passed away. This album was part of a larger jazz,blue,rnb, soul collection. Howard in life was a sound engineer for the Gamble brothers in Philadelphia.
