Description
Blue Note 1521 (Vol. 1) with 767 Lexington Ave, NYC address on both labels. Deep groove. Record has “ear” and “RVG” inscribed in the dead wax. 5 tracks with Clifford Brown, trumpet; Lou Donaldson, alto sax; Horace Silver, piano; Curly Russell, bass; Blakey, drums. Rare original edition. Cover: VG. 3” top edge; Bottom edge almost completely split. 1” x 2” tear on back cover, under the words “High Fidelity”. Some aging on the back cover and minor wear from handling on the front cover. Record: VG. Visually this record shows significant wear with a large number of small marks and some surface rubs. Surface noise persists throughout the record with the loudest at the beginning ½ of side 1. The crackling varies throughout the balance of the record and is irregular. Almost disappearing at times and reappearing with varying intensity. There are no deep scratches, so no repeated clicks. Heavy vinyl pressing. Audibly checked.
