ART BAXTER & HIS ROCK N ROLL SINNERS
"ROCK YOU SINNERS" Original U.K. issue, 1957 (Philips label - BBR 8107)
This was the Soundtrack LP to the U.Ks first Rock n Roll film.
The Vinyl is VVG+, a few very faint marks, and 1 larger scratch mainly on track 3, side 2, but the whole LP plays through with no problems at all, nothing untoward for a record of 55 years old, it still has a nice shine to it.
The Labels are both VERY clean & clear, i am tempted to say `spotless`, there are no spindle marks, just a couple of small scuffs on the very edge of the center hole.
The Sleeve is a little worn, with the main wear being to the spine, & top edges, all the corners have some wear, there is a crease of about 3" diagonally in the top left corner, and a well repaired tear to the bottom right corner, of the same sort of size. More or less all the front laminate appears to be intact, and all the picture & wording is clear .
The rear of the sleeve has some creasing to the bottom right corner, on the flipback, there are several small creases along the spine edge, and a larger diagonal crease towards the top right corner. There is also a piece of the `flipback` missing of about an Inch in from the top right corner. Some age dis-colouration, and some ringwear to the center. All the text is clear & ledgible.
This is now a very difficult LP to locate, and the tunes on it, are along the lines of what Tony Crombie was doing, only I would say that these tracks are alot better, and have more of an `edge` to them, and are alot more `lively`.
