ORIGINAL ITALIAN LIBRARY LP on VEDETTE (VOL. 22 – VLP 36510) from 1963. This is the RARE LIBRARY ISSUE of SCIASCIA’S soundtrack to the 1962 ITALIAN MOVIE “SEXY”, directed by RENZO RUSSO. SUPERB LOUNGE JAZZ with EXOTICA / WORLD MUSIC INFLUENCES, including SHADES OF BOSSA, LATIN, ORIENTAL and EASTERN EUROPEAN FOLK. Features vocals by 1960’s beauty queen NORMA GLADYS CAPPAGLI on the track “SEXY WORLD”, as well as ARMANDO SCIASCIA himself on the solo violin of “RUMENO SWING”. DREAMY WORDLESS VOCALS, SWINGING JAZZ BEAT and LOUNGEY ORCHESTRAL ARRANGEMENTS dominate this soundtrack album. It was reissued by HEXACORD RECORDS in 2003, in a limited edition of 1000 copies, but original is always best. Check the extra-long soundclip (NOTE: I made the soundclip from the copy being auctioned). RARE LIBRARY LP.
