Description
Here we go. In the History of recorded music, 78's, 45's, LP's, at the end of the 78 era was the beginning of the 45 rpm era.
Before what we now know as an 'album', like a photo album being a collection of photos, the major record companies would take 8-12 songs and record them onto 45 rpm records and sell a set of these 3-4 45's as an album.
So instead of a 12" 33 rpm LP (Long Playing) album, these are 7" 45 rpm EP's (Extended Play) albums. Most have 2 songs on each side so 3 records could be 12 songs etc. Do the math. Many have just one song per side but more discs.
No list available. If you are familiar with this format and collect them, then no further explanation is available.
Covers virtually all genre's of that time period. Big Band, Swing, Vocalists, Soundtracks, Classical, Broadway etc. Pretty huge collection from that time period.
Virtually all are in extremely good condition. Some may have box damage. Not to nit pick on this LOT sale.
Priced to move. Pickup preferred. Shipping arranged after auction.

Modifications to listing 03/17/2023: Added photo of whole stack. Basically the 2 columns of long boxes, starting with the ones saying JTC on the side. The third column, the boxes with the "W" and the albums on top are not part of the auction. Also, let's not be stupid. Nothing in the background is part of the listing.
Also, some requests came for some indication of contents. Here's my simple tally of counting through just a few of these long boxes:
Swing/Big Band: 16, Easy Listening: 14, Male/Female Vocalists: 20, Jazz: 6, Soundtracks: 10, Latin: 4, Classical: 25, Misc: 13.
Again, this is a LOT sale. Considering the price and value, I'm not going to invest any more time towards itemizing these box sets.
