“Another Side of Bob Dylan”
Columbia white label radio station promo copy with disc jockey title strip on cover - 1964 Mono CL 2193
This is a promotional copy of Bob Dylan’s fourth studio album released in the summer of 1964 and distributed to a radio station in Boston, Massachusetts.
The cover has several stamps with the name of the original disc jockey owner and three of the song titles on the DJ title strip have been circled for airplay.
There are no seam splits or major tears, only a couple of small corner nicks, particularly the bottom right. (see photos). There is also an ink stamp on the back stating the album was the property of the Yankee Radio Network.
The vinyl is EXCELLENT- it is in M- condition (mint minus) and it has also been cleaned in an ultrasonic record cleaner. The inner sleeve is intact.
Provenance: This copy originally belonged to Massachusetts and Rhode Island disc jockey Ken Rapoza who worked at several stations including WEEI in Boston. Ken died in an accident in 1987 at age 38 and his collection was inherited by a friend and fellow disc jockey, Bill Clark. This album remained unplayed in his own collection until his death in 2024.
It is being sold for Bill’s widow who will receive all of the money from its sale.
