Ann-Margret Bobby Rydell Part One and Part two of Unreleased Version of One Special Boy from Bye Bye Birdie

Ann-Margret Bobby Rydell Part One and Part Two of Unreleased Version of One Special Boy from Bye Bye Birdie -

The 1963 musical comedy film “Bye Bye Birdie” contained a song “One Boy” that Ann-Margret and Bobby Rydell sang along with Janet Leigh. The released version of Ann and Bobby’s part of  the song in the film is somewhat different on this acetate. This version of the Ann-Margret and Bobby part has never appeared in any form. It certainly was not in the 1963 film or soundtrack. Nor has it been released in any of the expanded reissues of the soundtrack. There is a one min edit of each version on You Tube. Look up

Ann-Margret Bobby Rydell Part One and Part Two of Unreleased Ver of One Boy from Bye Bye Birdie

The disk is in VG+ condition. The pops at the beginning of part one only exist on one side of the acetate. Both part one and part 2 without the pops are on the other side of the acetate. Once the producer decided against this rendition, the acetate was discarded. This has to rank as one of the rarest pieces of Ann-Margret, Bobby Rydell and Bye Bye Birdie memorabilia in existence. Because of its acetate form, it is certainly a one of a kind.
