1966 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP
This *NEAR MINT* UK 1st mono pressing containing all their early hits is on the blue & black Columbia label: SX 6035
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is present in the centre of the side 1 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XAX 3040-1 & XAX 3041-1

A top-class pair bearing only a small collection of faint spindle marks around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Extremely clean, bright & deep-gloss surfaces which bear just a few faint inner-sleeve removal line upon close inspection in strong daylight. Careful examination directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveal just a sparkling rainbow gloss shine but no further marks or wear - not even any wispy paper hairlines.
Play: NEAR MINT
Containing all the hit mono mixes, this barely played copy plays totally 'as new' with no wear on or between any track. My careful play-check found no evidence of any groove/play wear, background or a single tick or click anywhere. You won't find a better sounding copy.

EXCELLENT +
This could have left the shops this morning, let alone 42 years ago, it is that good. Stored carefully in a non-smoking environment, this example retains a perfect, unscratched & undamaged high-gloss laminate with not even a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle in sight. All corners are unbumped and the only evidence of wear on the entire cover is a few tiny 'pushes' to the rear edge. The rear panel itself is immaculate and white with no marks, writing or missing paper. All flipbacks, both seams and the spine are in perfect, undamaged condition.

Clean, crisp & white with just a hint of unavoidable storagewear but no splits, tears or writing.
