Description
With a heavy heart,needs must, for auction from my own private collection a very rare and original FIRST PRESSING of The Murder of Liddle Towers/police oppression by the band Angelic Upstarts. This is not the Small Wonder/Rough Trade repressing. This was released and payed for by the band and sold at local record shops and gigs in very limited numbers 500-1000 copies no one seems to know,I bought this just down the road in South Shields back in the day. The first press has several characteristics no mention of Small Wonder/Rough Trade on the vinyl labels or on the picture sleeve,the labels are bigger such that they cover the serrations on the vinyl no serrations on the repressing. The record is thicker and heavier the outer part of the label is smooth while the inner part is rough,there is no M.C.P.S C78 reference under the catalogue number on the label. The holy grail of Upstarts vinyl have not seen one on here for years. Vinyl in very good condition I played the repressing,picture sleeve very good for its age.
