Up for Auction: Andrew Hill "BLACK FIRE". This is an original 1st pressing mono copy.
Recorded/Released: November 8, 1963.
Players: Andrew Hill(piano), Joe Henderson (tenor saxophone), Richard Davis (bass) and Roy Haynes (drums). One of the great Blue Note debuts by any artist.
LP Cover: VG+ Overall a very nice & strong cover. There is a corner bend, some light shelf wear and some seem wear (small break of less than one inch on bottom seem). An awesome thick cover, but the small imperfections lower the grading.
Record: VG++ Super glossy showing lots of sheen, clean labels. Aside from being in beautiful condition, the sound/clarity is stunning.
Stereo/Mono: Mono
Details: VAN GELDER stamped in the run-off & "Ear" on both sides of LP. This is the 1st mono pressing. NEW YORK USA on both sides of LP labels. Rear cover address is 43 West 61st St., New York 23.
