Description

Absolutely beautiful copy of the 1956 true first pressing of the wonderful Evening with Oscar Peterson LP, on Clef mono MG-C-698. Original trumpeter label copy. This copy was personally owned by Ray Brown himself, the bassist in the Oscar Peterson Trio, and one of the greatest jazz bassists of all time. I acquired a number of his original LPs, many of which he played on himself. This copy is amazing. The disc is very nearly pristine and plays near flawlessly and just beautifully. Only the tiniest superficial scuff or two, barely. Really beautiful. The cover is similarly beautiful, with no seam splits or much wear at all. Just a touch of minor edge fraying in spots and a few signs of age and gentle use, but just gorgeously clean. A top, top copy, and once Ray Brown’s own!
