One of the very finest direct-to-disc jazz records, this East Wind release features the work of the L.A. 4, comprised of Laurindo Almeida, Bud Shank (sax and flute), Ray Brown on bass, and Shelly Manne on drums.
A more beautiful playing of Jobim's CORCOVADO and WAVE you will not hear, to say nothing of the Ravel piece, arranged by Almeida and played with such richness as to stop time. All of this, monitored through Westlake electrostatic loudpseakers, some of the very finest this audiophile has ever had the pleasure of hearing.
In the top 25 records to own, in my view: Cover like new; record within will play near mint.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
