TITLE: Howl and Other Poems
CONDITION:
Sleeve: The front cover is a gorgeous Mint- w/ bright shiny lamination. The back cover has light aging. The seams are intact w/ a whisper of light wear and 2 extremely tiny corner dings
Record: Has high original gloss w/ some light surface scuffs. I play graded the entire first side and it plays a strong VG++ w/ some light random background surface noise. I spot checked Side B and it plays the same, pretty typical of red vinyl Fantasy pressings. By the spindle hole it looks like this LP may have been played a couple of times. / VPI cleaned
COMMENTS: Very nice original 1959 deep groove Fantasy red vinyl pressing of this Beat Poetry classic. Comes w/ rare original 12" x 17" insert which is a reproduction of a July 26, 1959 article from the Sunday San Francisco Chronicle written by Ginsburg about Howl and the San Francisco poetry controversy (see pic 3).
