Description

Hello, and thanks for checking out my item for sale!

You are looking at the amazingly rare, incredibly awesome, NEVER PLAYED, Alkaline Trio/Smoking Popes split 7" from the New Years Eve show at The Metro in Chicago. All 3,000 some attendees were given the record as a gift for spending the night with our favorite bands. This record's release was limited to the one night, and will never be printed again...Much like the equally hard to find Halloween 7" also by the Alkaline Trio.

The record contains one song per band; Alkaline Trio cover "Off My Mind", a Smoking Popes song...While the Smoking Popes cover "Blue Carolina", an Alkaline Trio song.

This release marks one of the first recordings in the Smoking Popes' comeback to the Chicago music scene, and should NOT be missed by fans.

For those wondering why I'm selling this, I can say that I'm not out to make a profit (tickets to the show were $65 apiece), I just don't have the need for two records. My girlfriend and I both went, both got the records and share our collections. I'm also not much of a collector, so I thought I would make a real collector's dreams come true!

If you are in the Chicago area and would like to arrange for pick up, contact me after the auction ends and we can work something out, otherwise I will ship.
