Jan 2022. Alive! A Folk Passion Play of Today this is all guess work but i believe this is a private release from 1971. quoting from the cover "CREATED in the Crypt of St Martin's in the field by young people, it is their impression of Jesus in Trafalgar square in the 70's" further details can be seen in pictures 3 to 6. i think it is numbered and this copy is numbered 84. no idea of how many where pressed. Just found the original double sided A5 programme tucked in side . see the last picture ALSO I JUST FOUND THIS ON POPSPIKE
Alive! A Folk Passion Play Of Today UK 1971 Private Press Xian LP Catalogue Number CRP 001. Excerpts from the production in the Crypt of St. Martin-in-the-Fields London during April & May, and in the Chapel Royal Tower of London in June. 1971.Created in the Crypt of St. Martin’s by young people, it is their impression of Jesus in Trafalgar Square in the 70’s, with the theme of Love, Money, Freedom and Revolution.
The Songs:
Theme Song: “Love One Another” and “Judas Song” written and sung by Brian Dean
“Red Tape Blues” and “Lonely Rider” written and sung by Mike Maran (Mike Maran was a contemporary of Al Stewart, Roy Harper etc. Then later recorded the Fair Warning album for the Bronze label, and was a regular on the concert scene opening for King Crimson, ELO, Wizzard etc. He now works very successfully in musical theatre as a performer and composer

Silk screen printed sleeve with information sheet pasted to rear,
Vinyl is NM. Looks unplayed Sleeve is VG+. the original glue on the back is showing through the stuck on paper, other wise i would have said EXall photos should be used to aid as part of the description. any serious issues will be mentioned.

All shipping is now via Royal mail as other carriers can no longer be depended on. If any item makes more than £20.00 then it will require a signature on receipt, at no extra cost. All items are shipped in "bought in" cardboard mailers with cardboard stiffeners (unless otherwise stated). I am slowly clearing a very large record collection so that my children don't give them all to the dustmen. Everything from Punk rock to classical, spoken word, train sounds, sound tracks, kids records and just some really weird and wonderful stuff. If you are bidding on more than one item, please do not pay until they have all ended as i can then easily sort out the postage discount. Cash is always welcome if you want to venture out into the country and ride on a steam train (better hurry mind before it closes). Oh and just in case you do, after a couple of back and fourths on the messenger i tend to just block you from bidding if you insist on still arguing, because i feel if you did win you would only find a reason to be a "Richard" about your purchase and at the end of the day i don't want to get into a fight as it never ends well for either party does it? if you are that passionate about postage write to your MP and ask them to re nationalize the Royal Mail.
