Here we have a super rare time capsule find.
A brand new unplayed Echantillon Test Pressing for Alien Sex Fiend : 'Dead & Buried' released by Cherry Red / Anagram , 12ANA23.
I am told this features the long versions of the three tracks - which is possibly different to the standard 12" release.
As the name suggests , Alien Sex Fiend weren't like anybody else at the time and were the strongest Electro / Industrial band from the Goth / Bat Cave scene in the mid 80s.
This is a super rare advance testpressing. It is unplayed with no spindle marks on the label.
It is in a stapled photocopied proof sleeve (presumably the proper cover was still being made).
It comes with all the Anagram notes/ press sheets which have been addressed to 'Sam' and hand
signed by their marketting agent , 'Juliet'.
Additionally, there is a promo sheet showing pics of both sides of the 7" picture disc version - again with comments by 'Juliet'.
This is so rare there is not even a picture of it on Discogs.
I know another copy of this sold for £50 in a generic plain sleeve. It did NOT have the proof sleeve or
any of the rare Anagram inserts that are included with this 12".
I've been buying/collecting for 40 years and know the Echantillon testpressings are much much rarer than a White Label testpressing. Echantillon normally only make only 3 - 5 testpress copies.
