Alice Rozier & Little Joe - I'm Gonna Hold On To You / I Love You - Stone (no #) (US) )
No introduction necessary, simply one of the finest two-siders there is in soul music: Georgia-born Alice Rozier teaming up with Little Joe (Clower) on Thomas Bailey’s Stone label. No doubt recorded around the same time (circa 1968), as Bailey’s masterpieces ‘I Need You (Most Of All)’ (Stone 361), and the wonderful ‘Ruby’ (Stone 100), and most likely featuring the same backing band (the Flintstones), with whom Clower was the guitarist. A very rare disc, especially in this top condition, and rest assured it can only get rarer!
Condition: EX (or as good as the loud and sturdy vinyl of a small independent Macon, Georgia label will allow); a beautiful copy played less than a handful of times (please see scans)! Not able to record snippets at the moment, but please see my feedback and bid with confidence.
