Offered for Sale is an Alice Cooper "GREATEST HITS" lp.


With the future of the original band in doubt by mid-1974 (they would soon break up for good with Cooper going solo), Warner Brothers decided to issue a best-of compilation.  If you're a newcomer to Cooper, this 12-track compilation is a must-hear as all the selections are exceptional.  While many have chosen to focus primarily on the theatrics over the years, the original bandmembers were indeed supreme rock songwriters. They gave us such anthems as "I'm Eighteen," "Under My Wheels," "School's Out," and "No More Mr. Nice Guy".  They are unquestionably among the finest hard rock tracks of all time.  The other selections prove to be outstanding as well- "Is It My Body," "Desperado," "Be My Lover," "Elected," "Billion Dollar Babies," and "Muscle of Love".


It is on the Warner Brothers record label with the LP # W 2803.


This is the ORIGINAL 1974 LP, with the ORIGINAL inner picture sleeve.

 

This LP had never been played, (till now) but as a PROMO I received it open.  I play tested it and can say 100% that the record is primo.

 

 

Never the less, after 35 to 45 years of shifting around in boxes, wear does occur, so PLEASE check the photos for a clear picture of what you will be receiving.  I do not rate covers, only the vinyl itself.  Also, there may be minor scuffing marks, from the inner sleeve.  This IN NO WAY affects the sound, or I would not list it. There is also the possibility that the inner sleeve could have a slit on one or more of its sides. 


NOTE: I was a buyer for two different record chains in Hollywood, Ca.  As such, I received a couple of boxes of records a week, to entice me to buy.  More often than not, they were always open copies, and if you wanted to sell them to a used record store you could only get about a $1.00 cash, or $2.00 in trade for them.
