Description
This is a 1st pressing in mono of Albert King Born under a Bad Sign , very rare,blue Stax label is absolutely clean, no writing,spindle marks, looks unplayed, cover very clean, no marks,writing, does have drill hole upper left corner , every copy I've seen in mono has this drill hole not sure why, look at pic for a Lp this old remarkably clean,visually both sides are VG++ to NM-, I don't believe a better copy exists, many that have been on Ebay but in stereo, as of now no other mono is for sale compare and you decide. Check my listings I will combine ship.The stampers are side 1 STX 12951-A, side 2 STX -12592-A both sides have AT, LW in right edge of trail off, also a W on the left side. I have listed this with NO reserve, hope I haven't made a mistake good luck.This Lp is back up form sale because the winning bidder refused to pay, blackout** has private feedback and bid $113, even though I opened no pay for item, nothing. I did some further research on this wonderful LP, when Stax was sold, only the MONO pressings where produced at the Atlantic pressing plant which used a better grade of vinyl, no know stereo's were produced by Atlantic, all others were done by Columbia in 1968, there is considered 2 1st pressing dates, this one in 1967 and all others in 1968, even white label demos, had some time on my hands, lol.
