Description
Stax S-723 (stereo), “Born Under a Bad Sign” with Albert King, guitar and vocals, backed by the Stax house band; from 1967. The yellow-label vinyl plays at VG++ with just the slightest background sound between tracks; it cannot be heard during tracks. The jacket has solid, wear-free seams all around except for half an inch of wear at the bottom opening. There is a bit of ringwear at bottom (see scan) and no corner wear, bends, writing, or stamps; the jacket is quite clean but slightly age-toned. This is AK’s greatest album with “Born Under a Bad Sign”, “Crosscut Saw”, “Kansas City”, “Oh Pretty Woman”, “Down Don’t Bother Me”, “The Hunter”, “I Almost Lost My Mind”, “Personal Manager”, “Laundromat Blues”, “As the Years Go Passing By”, and “The Very Thought of You”.
Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra. Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
