Real Name:
Alfred F. Viola.
Profile:
American jazz guitar and mandolin player, among many other he worked with Frank Sinatra for 25 years.
Born : June 16, 1919 in New York City (Brooklyn), New York.
Died : February 21, 2007 in Studio City, California.
Viola was a highly regarded session musician in Los Angeles, performing in films, on television and in commercial spots. His mandolin playing can be heard on the soundtrack of The Godfather; other credits include West Side Story and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. He continued playing jazz as well, with Bobby Troup, Ray Anthony, Harry James, Buddy Collette, Stan Kenton, Gerald Wilson and Terry Gibbs.
He also worked as a session musician on over 500 albums, including releases by Jimmy Witherspoon, Helen Humes, June Christy, Natalie Cole, Neil Diamond, Ella Fitzgerald, Marvin Gaye, Steve Lawrence, Julie London, Anita O'Day, Nelson Riddle, Linda Ronstadt and Joe Williams. -wikipedia

- General Standards For Record Grading -
NM-
(NEAR MINT) The vinyl is almost flawless, bright and shiny. A very light minor, barely visible mark or two may be permitted. The disc should play with no audible noise. The label is bright, clean and unmarked. Sleeve looks almost Mint.
VG++/EX
(VERY GOOD ++/ Excellent) Disc plays near perfectly, but may have minor, light scuffs that do not interfere with the sound quality. There can possibly be a light hairline scratch or two but nothing that is obvious or affects play. Vinyl is bright and shiny; label is clean and unmarked. Sleeve is Excellent.
VG+
(VERY GOOD PLUS) Some visible surface wear, very minor scratches and scuffs, but minimal impact on the sound quality. Vinyl will still have good luster; labels may have minor imperfections (small labels or initials, etc.) but otherwise clean. Sleeve may have some shelf wear, or minor writing, no seem splits.
