Description
From my personal collection, original owner, stored in resealable mylar sleeve since purchase, record stored in VRP inner sleeve. When I was on an Al Kooper binge back in the mid-1990’s, I was lucky enough to find a sealed copy of this album (along with the 4th Annual lp, several months later) for sale from the old Goldmine Record ads vendor, Sound Express in Arkansas. In the late 1990’s, after Al moved here to Boston, I had the pleasure of seeing him play live over 6 times in a 2-year or so period (with Rekooperators, solo, and with the Funky Faculty). At a few of those gigs I had a bag full of lp covers, old ad clippings, and cd booklets, which the Good Doctor Kooper was always most graciously indulgent enough to sign for me after the shows. At one of those gigs he signed the covers of the two Kapusta albums, in the spots I requested. Here on the 3rd Annual, since the front cover was a bit dark to begin with, Al signed the cool and historic old photo of him as a child that is on the back cover. After initially taping these lps, they have remained sealed away in my vinyl collection ever since. The record is in NM condition, very clean looking. The cover is very good plus, but does have a couple of small creases and other minor flaws. So, whether you’re a fan of Al, and/or of legendary and wacky “underground” comedy bits, this is your chance to own this lp with Al’s signature gracing the cover.
