Description
UP FOR SALE, Ultra-rare private metal from Lincoln, NE. Airstrike's Initial Attack LP released in 1986 on their private label, Direct Hit. This is very compotent 80's metal, that by no means touches the Metallica or the thrash scene, but is not as hair metal as it looks. Gets into prog territory and would be similar to the hard rock Ozzy was putting earlier in the 80's.
Putting this at a fair price. The last time it sold it brought in near $500. Previously sales were YEARS ago, so it appears this is pretty scarce. Please read the description as I'm being forthcoming and am not going to sell this as a perfect disc, it has it's issues, but played through it a little, it played club quality, enjoyable listen with barely any noticable surface noise. I use a Project Carbon Debut with a lightly weighted Ortofon cart and stylus. You could get a decent rip off this, far better than the surface noise filled stuff you can listen to on YouTube.
VINYL : VG + : The problems with this disc are primarily due to cheap manufacturing of the vinyl in the 80's. You can see the cheapness of the vinyl used in resin on the disc and few marks. There is some scuff marks from storage that are also superficial and do not affect playback. Side 1, Song 1 has a noticeable scuff mark. I played through this, caught minimal surface noise but did not take away from the enjoyment of the disc. It did not cause a skip by any means. This is a solid copy of a ultra-rare disc in great shape, you can tell this was played once or twice and then shelved for a considerable amount of time.
COVER: VG : Most would say VG+, but you can see noticeable ringwear. Corners are only slightly dulled. Came in a plain white sleeve.
