Yet another brilliant work from this Norwegian prog band named AIRBAG. THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH is the band's third effort. Airbag’s third album continues their journey through atmospheric sounds and serious topics. The listener is treated to a wide sonic experience, from massive walls of sound to ambient textures and soulful soundscapes. The lyrics convey a growing feeling of alienation and distrust in society and the established authorities. At the same time, we are manipulated and kept in a comfortable state, believing we’re in control of our self-centered lives. A strong statement, which pays off due in large part to the band’s sheer daring, their scope of vision. An emboldened stride into previously uncharted territories, and it makes for scintillating listening. Highly recommended to fans of Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, RPWL, and Eloy.
