Agustin Barrios Mangore – Sheet Music and Vinyl Double Album
There are two items sold together:
1. Agustin Barrios – Double VinylAlbum
2. The Guitar Works of AgustinBarrios Mangore - Three Volume Set of Sheet Music
This pairing is a rare, vintage combination of sheet and recorded music by Mangore.
This vintage set (Belwin Mills 1977) of sheet music is advertised as “The First Definitive Collection of Agustin Barrios Mangore.” The three-volume set contains 20 tunes in each volume, for 60 of Mangore’s works. They are carefully and clearly notated and fingered for helpful playing tips.
The books are in excellent condition. Only one has a crinkle on one corner. Two volumes have pencil marks on the Table of Contents, where I have marked the music that correspond to the tracks on the recordings (will save you a little time!). There are 10 tunes from the recordings that are in the books.
The recording (1980) is a double vinyl disc set containing a total of 24 tunes, 19of which were composed by Mangore. Mangore is the performer of all the works on this recording. The album also contains a handsome,sepia-toned 16-page booklet, with some history and lots of old photos. I have not seen this album for sale in a longtime. The condition of the vinyl is very good condition, as they were played only a few times, but will have the usual quality of old vinyl. I have sold many vinyl album successfully on eBay and I would not sell a recording that I would not want to play myself.
