Description
Against Me! – Reinventing Axl Rose | Black Vinyl | FAT110-1 | Original Inserts
An essential piece of modern punk and folk-punk history.
Reinventing Axl Rose captures Against Me! at their rawest and most immediate—a record built around acoustic guitars, distorted punk energy, political frustration, community, and the kind of passionate sing-along songwriting that helped define the early-2000s DIY folk-punk movement.
Originally emerging from the Gainesville, Florida punk scene, Against Me! became one of the most influential bands to bridge underground folk punk and a much wider punk audience. Reinventing Axl Rose remains one of the records most closely associated with those early DIY roots.
Highlights include “Pints of Guinness Make You Strong,” “We Laugh at Danger (And Break All the Rules),” “Baby, I'm an Anarchist!,” “Walking Is Still Honest,” and the title track.
