Description

This is part of a large auction featuring blues, R&B and doo-wop, from several different labels - a real mix this time with a nice selection of unusual small label stuff. There are a handful of Aladdin and King, but there are also some one offs from Ivy, Home of the Blues and more.

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1957


Notes: Blue label first pressing with rounded font logo. The only record by this obscure vocal group out of Amityville, NY. The lead singer was killed in a gang fight shortly after its recording. It's a shame because this is top notch doo-wop with more of a soul feel than you usually hear. Tough to find record that you really need to hear.


Vinyl Condition: VG+, Vinyl itself is in nice shape and super-clean with almost no wear at all. It plays well and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, hardly any background noise at all. Labels have some fading and wear due to humidity/liquid exposure. This is a fantastic play copy that I think just jumps over to the line to VG+, but you might bump to VG for cosmetics. 


All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. Check back in a couple of weeks for another auction: R&B/doo-wop/blues 78's.
