Description
These two acetates are both 78rpm and recorded inside out.
They were made during World War II, and the speaker is
the same on both records, a male voice.
The smaller disc he talks about Albert's wife and the “Black Rock”
sort of a scary tale. On the same disc he speaks of a Brooklyn
District Attorney for Kings County named William O'Dwyer
who at rallies would always address the crowd by saying “Hello
Joe or Harry!” Then he talked about FDR and his joke about Governor
Polk of Missouri.
The larger disc is the same guy reading from the 1943 “A Pocket Guide
To North Africa” one of the funny lines: “When you see grown men
walking hand in hand, ignore it – they are not queer”
Not sure why he made these records?
But they are from WW-II era.
Found at an estate.

With a plus or minus depending on variables such as how much groove luster remains, sound quality, wear and
abuse. 78rpm records can look bad but sound great! They stand up to abuse much better than LP's or 45's!
