Description

Rare and amazing album by the legendary ABNER JAY: "The Backbone of America Is a Mule and Cotton", subtitled"This is real show enough bicentennial music". This is on Brandie Records, Jay's own label, but no number. Jay was born in the early 1920s, passed away in 1993. He was one of the last of the real old time minstrels, played with Silas Green's Minstrel Show in the 1930s. He sings and plays six-string banjo, harmonica and drum. Probably the must unique and funkiest music you'll ever hear!

Cover is Near Mint (still shrinkwrapped); vinyl is VG+, at least.
