FLOWERS ARE MINE / WHO'S GONNA RESCUE JESUS ? ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by AYSHEA BROUGH arranged and composed by ANDREW PRYCE JACKMAN produced by CHRIS BROUGH and DAVID SYMONDS. Original UK 1st pressing on POLYDOR label (2058-074), from 1970. Obscure, acid tinged folk cum xian rock double-sider by the exotic looking singer / actress and TV presenter, once married to record producer Chris Brough. Ayshea was also a Shado operative in the cult UK sci fi TV series UFO / starred in an episode of Jason King and was a columnist for the British youth magazine "Look-In" in the '70s. FLOWERS ARE MINE is the melancholic folk - sunshine pop side with baroque harpsichord / psychedelic strings / gentle guitar notes and bewitching trippy mood a la Nancy Priddy ;) This is the track written by Play School presenter, Rick Jones. WHO'S GONNA RESCUE JESUS? was never included on her self-titled Polydor Lp and is the groovy rock side with fuzz distortions and theatrical, English pop folk ambience. Strange lyrics with biker and xian influences. Guitars on this session no doubt by Brain Godding of Blossom Toes with arrangements by Andrew Pryce Jackman, the Bruton Library composer / ex keyboard player for The Syn on Deram label and co-arranger on the Master's Apprentices - A Toast To Panama / Chris Squire - Fish Out Of Water / Fantasy - Paint A Picture and Audience prog rock grail ;) Rare 45!!! Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG exotica freakbeat mod psychedelia dancer gothic denis

Vinyl is graded shiny, strong VG++ condition due to a few scuffs / one tiny needle mark and some hairlines from storage (mostly all to the "Flowers Are Mine " side). Booming production sound. Some light surface noises. A few audible pops in places (as you can hear on our soundclip) but otherwise, very clean looking. Pen notation to one side of label. The rice paper Polydor sleeve has general creasing and wear from storage (see photo). Small archive sticker to front and back sleeve. Some small damages / mini tears, here and there. Record will be sent in a brand new poly lined inner with the original sleeve.
