Description

This is an auction for the self titled debut LP by Aynsley Dunbars Retaliation released by Liberty Records in the UK in 1968 catalogue number LBL 83154. This is a very rare FIRST pressing in Mono with the first press matrix numbers of:
Side 1- LBL 83154 A1 420
Side 2- LBL 83154 B1 420
The lp also has the very first mother stampers of 1 and 1 ,making it the very first press ,and is in very nice condition throughout.

The vinyl is in Excellent+ condition. There is a lovely deep sheen and it looks great for a record that is 43 years old. Under a very strong light there are one or two very very light sleeve removal type marks but these have no impact on the audio.

The condition of the vinyl is reflected in the audio. The record sits nice and flat on the turntable and plays through without any skips or jumps. The sound is clear and vibrant and a really great listen . There is the very occasional very light background static noise but overall i am happy to grade the audio as Near Mint.

The label on side 2 is in Excellent condition and on side 1 Very Good +, as there is a sticker removal mark [please see the photo's]

The first press double laminate sleeve, with photo's taken by Hypgnosis , is in Excellent- condition. There is some laminate creasing and some laminate lift along the spine and in the bottom right corner on the front and bottom left corner on the back. But for a 43 year old sleeve it still looks really nice.

Overall a superb copy of this rare record.

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR OTHER CLASSIC ROCK LPS.

I use the Record Collector guide to grade my records-see below

The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk at a cost of £3.00. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 which includes international signed for delivery as mandatory . Please note that i combine shipping for multiple buys. Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but again this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.

Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
