Piccolo Man b/w En La Ruta Del Dolar

1st and only pressing released in 1968 on Music Hall, Argentina. Wow! The flipside contains an original Western Spaghetti/Morricone/Ferrio-style track entirely produced in South America in the late 60s, with some great organ arrangements, brass sections, and jangling surf guitar. But not less interesting, and particularly unusual, is the instrumental cover version of Piccolo Man from the A-side, which was originally recorded by obscure UK band Friends (who were no others than the The Flower Pot Men under a different name). They had an easier (and certainly more profitable) chance to choose a Monkees/Archies/Turtles tune, but finally decided to select this one from a band that is even barely known nowadays by most collectors of 60s UK stuff (a somewhat weird but respectable decision). Los Aventureros were an ephemeral project headed by enigmatic Latin composer/producer Pedro Lo Forte. As far as is known, both tracks were never included on any album, and are only available here. This is a seriously rare single which never turns up for sale on the market. Freeeeeeeeeeesh 60s stuff! There is NO reserve, so please bid accordingly!

Both labels are absolutely clean, .......... (NO writings, stickers, dirt, spindle marks, ink stamps and/or wear, there are some humidity spots and a couple of tiny tears). .......... Sleeve: N/A, it comes housed in its original company sleeve.
