AUTHENTIC DRAGSTRIP SOUNDS RECORDED LIVE AT THE LIONS DRAG STRIP 1964 DOT RECORDS LP

Hard to find sought after Drag Racing sound effects record from 1964 features the sounds of one of most famous dragstrips of the era - THE LION”S DRAG STRIP of Long Beach, CA. Recorded in “Dual Perspective Stereo” using Electro Voice 664 and 666 microphones Dot Reocrds DLP 25566 preserves the sound of 20 different races from the fabled venue which operated from 1955 to 1965. Drag race enthusiasts have considered the Lion Strip to have the greatest quarter mile in dragster history. I am not a record grader, but original sleeve appears to be in G-VG condition. Front of sleeve shows light ring wear. There is moderate edge and corner wear and a 1” seam split at the top right corner. Front color image is bright and clean. Back of Sleeve has some very minor staining with great shots of four different dragsters and excellent history of the Lion Strip by Bob Ruskauff of the Harbor Area Lions Drag Strip. Record is in EX condition. Album shows great gloss and very light wear with a few minor scratches/blemishes. Label is in NM condition. Overall a highly collectible historic recording from the golden age of drag racing.
