Description
Thomas L. Clear long time collector of 78 RPM records issued a series of limited editions of historic and rare performances. All were non-profit and were available from Clear by mail, one to a customer. Editions were limited to 250 copies. This set, "Augmented History of the Violin on Records (1920-1950)" followed "Augmented History of the Violin" a 4 LP set. All performances are mastered from 78s in his collection, see photo for contents. The 3-12" 33RPM mono LPs have rubs and inner sleeve marks from years of storage. All side were partially play graded and visually inspected, residual noise is minimal and varies with the age of the originals. Side 5 has has a patch of tics in the middle, overall VG+. Original plain paper wrinkled inners have been replaced with polypropylene inners. Box has good cover, spine slightly faded with small nicks, right side of box bottom has center split and there is upper right crunch with small split, overall VG. Includes detailed booklet written by Clear. A very rare violin collection.
