'Shadows', is the only 7"single from their third album 'Still Night, Still Light' and probably their most popular song to date. The hypnotic, pulsing Rhodes keyboards provide a wistful atmosphere upon which the song is built, and the track truly takes flight when the dreamy vocals and catchy chorus kicks in.

The song is, at its heart, a melancholy plea for someone, either a current love, a memory of a love long gone or merely a specter, to come with the subject as they leave a part of their life behind. Great! Contains non-album track on the b-side!

Au Revoir Simone, the Casio-centric indie pop band from Brooklyn, New York, started life in the Autumn of 2003 when Erika Forster (keyboards & vocals) and Annie Hart (keyboards & vocals) first became acquainted on a long train ride home from Vermont to NYC from a weekend getaway with friends. From there, they became fast friends and began writing songs. After a time their friend Heather d'Angelo (drum machines, keyboard & vocals) started joining in at their informal bedroom band practices, which also included former member Sung Bin Park (keyboard & vocals). Before too long, they started playing shows around N.Y.C. and Brooklyn. In January of 2005, Sun Bin Park left the band to pursue other projects and the girls started anew as a trio. In 2006, Au Revoir Simone issued their debut album, 'Verses of Comfort, Assurance & Salvation'. It was released on Moshi Moshi in Europe and included their first 7" single 'Through the Backyards'. Au Revoir Simone's second album, 'The Bird of Music', was released on Moshi Moshi Records one year later and also included the 7" singles 'Fallen Snow' and 'Sad Song' though all 7"es have exclusive non-album tracks! Au Revoir Simone's great third album, 'Still Night, Still Light', was released on Moshi Moshi Records in Europe in May 2009 and only included the 7" single 'Shadows' and not the 7" 'Summer Lines'!

MINT (M)

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as „sealed“ or „unplayed“ should be „mint“. 
 

EXCELLENT (EX)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. 
 

VERY GOOD (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality. Shows noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. 
 

GOOD (G)

The record has been played a lot and shows noticeable degradation of sound quality, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. 
 

FAIR (F)

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

EXCELLENT (EX)

Die Schallplatte weist einige Spuren vom Abspielen auf. Die Tonqualität ist nur geringfügig verschlechtert. Das Cover hat geringfügige Abnutzungen oder Knicke. 
 

VERY GOOD (VG)

Die Schallplatte ist offensichtlich häufig abgespielt worden, weist aber keine wesentlichen Qualitätsverluste auf. Kleiner Kratzer bzw. leichtes Rauschen können vorkommen. Das Cover kann Einrisse haben, oder hat sich am Rand gelöst, ist aber noch brauchbar. 
 

GOOD (G)

Die Schallplatte hat erheblich an Qualität verloren. Es können Verzerrungen oder größere Kratzer vorkommen. Das Cover ist stark beschädigt. 
 

FAIR (F)

Die Schallplatte ist gerade noch abspielbar, allerdings ist die Qualität stark verschlechtert. Das Cover ist sehr stark beschädigt oder zerrissen.
