Beautiful first pressing vinyl copy of this hard-to-find early offering by Billy Joel and Jon Small prior to Joel exploding onto the scene with “Piano Man”. The LP is gorgeous and the cover is too (excellent considering it is primarily a black front cover which usually was susceptible to overt ring wear. This copy has no ring wear.
Organ/drum twosomes were unusual for the late psychedelic period of 1970. The only other popular duo I can think of was Lee Michaels (and Frosty). That duo spawned not only Attila but almost every major city had an organ/drums duo, at least for a while.
Considered rather heavy-to-be-heavy, today, this band was still the forerunner to Joel’s long running career and a must have if you collect Billy or bands that featured musicians that later became superstars. (I’ll post both LPs by The Hassles pretty soon, which was Billy Joel’s recording group prior to Attila).
Stored vertically in a smoke-free environment for 47 years.
