ROCK DRILL SHAKE / SHSHSHSHSH ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST LIBRARY single. Music and arrangements by MARIO PAGANO and DORE MODESTI for ATLAS COPCO ITALIA S.P.A. Original Italian mono pressing on the ATLAS COPCO label (DR 2), from circa 1967. Superb and very obscure product placement / novelty / advertising themes for an Italian company who specialised in pneumatic drills / engineering and mining equipment. ROCK-DRILL SHAKE is actually a groovy funk cover version of the James Brown R&B anthem, Papa's Got A Brand New Bag but spliced with mock spoken word intro / phased drilling sound FX and tape manipulation. Lots of funky drums and soulful mod jazz rhythms with big fender basslines / scratchy guitar and that famous JB's brass hook. Comped on Masoch Club Entertainment for the Plastic label. Great for DJs. If anyone ever decides to do an Italian-only Popshopping compilation then this record is a must! Seldom comes up for sale now. Rare OST 45!!! 

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in strong VG++ condition with a few light scuffs and hairlines. Some faded, old pressing marks. Light surface noises (more so to the 'SHSHSHSHSH' side) but all copies seem to have this. The laminated picture sleeve with sexy model pose / pop art typography and design is closer to M- condition overall with minimal wear. A little creasing in places from storage. Rare OST 45!!!
