Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my progressive records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare 1st German pressing of Atlantis – Atlantis on the SWIRL VERTIGO label, cat. no. 6360 609.
The record is in VG++ condition, there is a strange non-sounding dull sheen on both sides of the record. This could be residues from an old inner sleeve that was stuck to the record at some point (the record was “sweating”) or maybe this was a pressing error. Either way, this dull sheen does NOT affect playing. Further there are a couple non-sounding hairlines. The labels are in EX condition, there are only a few spindle marks.
The cover is in VG++ condition, besides the usual handling and storage wear, there is only very slight wear on the opening edge and the bottom seam has some bald spots. Besides mentioned tiny defects, this cover looks more than just presentable to me.
This is a very rare original German pressed copy of Atlantis’ self titled album from 1973. This record is getting extremely very hard to find as a U.K. pressing and the German copies are getting scarcer every day. This is a unique opportunity to complete your Krautrock and / Swirl Vertigo collection!
