Description

ASPEN MAGAZINE - 1st and only edition of this ASPEN # 9

DREAMWEAPON - WINTER/SPRING - PSYCHEDELIC ISSUE

Aspen Magazine was published in 1965 through 1971 by Roaring Fork Press, Inc., 333 Sixth Avenue, NYC, NY 10014, USA.  It was to have been issued quarterly, but it soon became clear that this was overly optimistic.  Some issues were sent incomplete, such as 5+6. The second section never arrived and was never rectified for many subscribers.  Others never arrived at all.  Phyllis Johnson was editor and publisher.

This issue was edited by Angus and Netty MacLise.  The box design was by Netty MacLise.

The exterior thin, heavy paper envelope is in fairly good shape, except for a 3/4" line perforation along the fold, near the top.  The interior is yellowed.  There is some foxing.

All sections are present and in unopened condition, except for section 8, which is detaching along the folds.

The recording is still in its original glassine envelope and has never been removed or played.

The contents are:

Don Snyder: Chart and Text

Ira Cohen and Bill Devore: Postcards

Aymon DeSales: Triptych and Text

Dale Wilbourn: Triptych

Don Snyder: Stamp Sheet

Benno Friedman: Photographs

Diane Rochlin: "Vali"
