Description
Up for grabs here is a 12” LP record by the Ashbury Stabbins Duo - Fire Without Bricks. A 1st and only pressing, it was issued in the UK by Bead Records in 1977 and has the catalogue number BEAD 4. Please see my images for the track listing.
History - Extremely rare, this is a privately pressed record, which is often categorised as jazz, presumably due to the instruments employed. However, to these ears at least this is a mix of experimental and improvised avant-garde all the way.
Vinyl Condition - Excellent- - The record is exceedingly bright and clean and is free from any marks or scratches. I’ve listened to all of the records can confirm that there is no jumping, sticking with just the odd light click present. Background crackle/noise is occasional, negligible and not overly obtrusive. . I’ve only given the record a cursory clean, so performance may well be improved with a little more dedicated attention.
Sleeve Condition - Very Good - No tears or splits are present but there is light wear in the form of minor stress creasing/partial disc impression. There are also a few small marks to the front panel. Plain white inner sleeve in comparable condition.

Packaging - It is not my intention to profit from postage. Where possible I use good clean recyclable material but I also buy bubble wrap, brown paper, packing tape and glue and all items are well wrapped and protected before posting. Items are also weighed and postage calculated before I list at auction and a small percentage of the charge does go towards packing costs.
